Students
The students in the Geologic Oceanography lab are involved in a number of projects ranging from Habitat Restoration in the Elkhorn slough to Monterey Bay Sediment Transport. As our global climate continues to change, it becomes critical to understand how our coastal habitats are formed and what aspects of those habitats are most likely to change in coming years. Dr. Aiello’s students understand the critical link between Biology and Geology and work to help explain our ever changing world. Recent advances in technology have helped the Geologic Oceanography team to put the Moss Landing Marine Laboratories at the front of coastal research and global habitat restoration.
Please check out our student biographies to learn about the exciting new research our young Oceanographers have been doing!
